Tubman 2016 PDF Print E-mail

The Lake Elmo Jaycees are proud to once again be participating in the Tubman Holiday Gift Program! This is a long-standing tradition of our chapter, and many say it is one of the best projects of the year!

What is the Shopping Extravaganza all about? The Lake Elmo Jaycees make a sizeable donation to this organization every December. Rather than donating money, we go to a local store and purchase items to donate. Items are selected from a wish list provided by Tubman, items that are in high demand or particular need. We search out sales in order to stretch our donation as much as possible, and always make sure to get some toys, games, and fun stuff along the way too!

Date: Sunday, December 4, 2016
Time: 9:00 a.m.
Location: Oakdale Target (just SE of 694 & Hwy 5)
( 7900 32nd St N. Oakdale , MN 55128 ) MEET IN STARBUCKS

Detail: Meet at Starbucks located inside of Target at 9am.
We will take a few minutes to organize our group and shopping plans, and then we will hit the shelves, buying LOTS & LOTS of good stuff! (We had over 20 carts FULL last year, not counting larger items like car seats and play pens that did not fit in carts!)

Drive In Social PDF Print E-mail

Join us Saturday, August 27th for a Drive In Movie & BBQ!

Please join the Lake Elmo Jaycees for our annual Drive-in movie night on Saturday, August 27th at the Vali-Hi Theater in Lake Elmo!

We will begin the evening with a pre-movie cook out after the gates open and we claim our parking spots. The chapter will provide meat, buns, and condiments for the BBQ. Please bring something to share with the group if you are able to.

When: Saturday, August 27th
Where: Vali-Hi Drive-in
1260 Hudson Blvd. N., Lake Elmo, MN 55042 (East 94 at Manning Ave.)
Time: Gates open at 7 p.m. Pre-movie cookout & social- First movie shows at dusk
It’s highly recommended to arrive prior to gate opening by at least 30 min so we can all park as a group in a good viewing location. The drive-in has been known to sell out, and it’s easier to park in a group if we arrive right away. Some of us will be in line as early as 6pm and hang out while we wait.

Movies for the evening will be posted after they are made public (usually early in the week each week).

Cost: $8.50 per person - $1.00 Children 6–12 - Kids under 6 are FREE (you will need cash to get in, they don’t take credit or debit cards but they do have an ATM on-site after you get in if you want to purchase anything once inside). Event will take place regardless of movies showing.
