Easter 2015 PDF Print E-mail

The Lake Elmo Jaycees are hosting the Annual Easter Egg Hunt and Egg Coloring Event on Saturday April 4, 2015. This is a free event open to the community, everyone welcome!

The egg hunt will take place at Lions Park, playground area, at 12pm (noon). Plastic eggs will be filled with candy and some will have special tickets (to redeem immediately following hunt for prizes). 

Participants should arrive at least 5-10 minutes early, the hunt starts with the sound of the Noon fire station siren. Then join us in the Fire Hall across the street to dye and color hard boiled eggs to take home.

Event will take place RAIN, SNOW or SHINE!

*Volunteers to help set-up both areas are needed at 10am and will be done around 1pm. 
2015 Chili Cook-off PDF Print E-mail







An Annual Tradition continues, but this year with a twist!  We have invited our neighbors to the south to participate!  Let’s see what Iowa can bring to the table! 

Whether you enter a Chili, come to sample and judge, or both (hint-hint), it's sure to be a great time! Proceeds will be divided between the states to be donated to each states chosen charity (MN will donate to Confidence Learning Center). 


Cost:      $5 donation for judging/sampling chili

(Additional voluntary FUN activities may be added to increase fundraising potential)
Categories:  Mild/Medium, Hot/Spicy, and Most Original. There will also be a “Presidents Choice” winner selected.  Please bring enough for sampling.


Date:     March 14th, 2015

Time:     Noon Arrival and chili warm-up.   1pm tasting/judging begins

Place:    Shiner’s Bar & Grill. 157 St Croix Trail N. Lakeland, MN


100% of proceeds will be donated!

Holiday Shopping Projects PDF Print E-mail

Join the Lake Elmo Jaycees this December for our Annual Tradition of Giving those in need some joy for the Holidays!   

The Lake Elmo Jayces are proud to once again be participating in two great local gift programs: Tubman's Holiday Gift Program and Community Thread's Holiday Hope Program.

We will be meeting at the Starbuck's inside of the Oakdale Target at 9am to coordinate shopping efforts.  Then we will all grab carts and start shopping!  First we will shop for Tubman and when done the items will be dropped off at a designated location.  Next we will return to Target to shop for Community Thread. Each shopper will be given wish lists from the families we are shopping for!  We will be purchasing a signifigant amount of items and will need help transporting them if you are able.  For more details: post to the facebook events (links below) or contact President Sarah Carlson at (651) 226-2183.

Fall 2014 Highway Clean-Up PDF Print E-mail


Please join the Lake Elmo Jaycees for our Adopt-A-Highway project, with a NEW twist!

This year we are adding a fun twist, a Scavenger Hunt!  As participants help clean up the highway leading into Lake Elmo, they will look for "treasures" along the way.  Prizes will be awarded based on the treasures you find!

Saturday, October 18, 2014.

We will be meeting at 10am in the parking lot of the Target located in Oakdale on Highway 5.  Bags, vests, and water will be provided. Please bring your own gloves.  

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED:   We are responsible for a 2 mile stretch of highway 5 going though Lake Elmo, so the more help we have, the faster we can get it done!!! Please feel free to bring any children over the age of 12.
